Questions people ask

How does drawing names online work?
Everyone in the group is matched at random with one person to give a gift to, and nobody gets themselves. Each person opens their own private page to see who they drew. The host's page never shows the draw.
Can I keep couples from drawing each other?
Yes. Before you draw, pick any two people who shouldn't draw each other, like spouses, roommates or a parent and child. The draw works around them.
Does everyone need an email address or an account?
No. Share one invite link in a text or a group chat, and everyone who opens it adds their name and gets their own page. If you would rather, add everyone yourself and send each person their own link.
Can people make a wish list?
Yes. Everyone can list things they would love, with links, sizes and colors, plus a few words about what they like. Their Secret Santa sees it once names are drawn.
What is a good Secret Santa spending limit?
Most groups pick a number between $20 and $50. Whatever you choose, say it plainly, like "$25", so the gifts come out even.
When should we draw names?
Two to four weeks before the exchange leaves time to shop and ship. For a Christmas Eve exchange, late November or the first days of December work well.
Can we do it again next year?
Yes. After your exchange, start next year's from the same host page. Everyone keeps their link, and nobody gets the person they had this year.
