The story
Rhiannon Fish plays Julie, who has just moved and plans to host a Christmas Eve dinner for eight at her late grandmother's table. Although she has no guest list yet, she begins to form a friendship with her neighbor Mark, played by Jake Foy, and his young daughter. As the holiday approaches, bad weather threatens her plans for the dinner. This is a cozy choice for viewers who enjoy stories about neighbors and holiday hosting.
Why watch
A Christmas Eve dinner for eight with no guests yet is a simple hook, and it makes this a hosting story first. A late grandmother's table ties the plan to family, while a neighbor and his young daughter bring in the small-town side. The open guest list leaves room for new friends to matter. It is also a newcomer story, and bad weather adds the worry. The mood stays cozy and low-key.
Rhiannon Fish plays Julie, and Christmas viewers may know her from My Norwegian Holiday (2023) and The Christmas Cup (2025). Jake Foy plays Mark.
It suits viewers who like stories about neighbors and holiday hosting. For more like it, try Mr. & Mrs. Christmas, another cozy small-town family story, or Winter Wonderlanes, a cozy story set in a small town. A Christmas Prayer Tradition is another family story with a small-town setting.
